For the San Jose Sharks ownership group, the 2008-09 NHL season will see the club’s player payroll hit record levels. The payrolls for NHL clubs in 2008-09 can reach just over $56 million and the Sharks are already in that range.
Sharks General Manager Doug Wilson announced Thursday that tryout player Jeff Friesen has been released from the Sharks 2008-09 training camp. “Jeff had a very good camp and he should be proud of his effort," Wilson said.
The months of waiting are finally over. Tonight is opening night at HP Pavilion and the San Jose Sharks will take on the Anaheim Ducks at 7:30 PM (Pacific). The game will be broadcast on CSN Bay Area in HD, 98.5 KFOX and SJSHARKS.com.
