Amidst the packing and running for the bus and showering — not exactly in that order — the Bruins celebrated their first win, in the first game of the 2008-09 season over the Avalanche, 5-4, in front of 18,007 fans at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

The Bruins got their season-opening four-game road trip off to a good start Thursday night, beating Colorado 5-4 on David Krejci’s goal with 2:36 remaining. Tonight they take on the Minnesota Wild in the Xcel Energy Center
